Dr Doug Warne has been working at King Street Medical Centre for 27 years, since 1997, and been a Supervisor of Registrar Training for 17. Doug graduated from Newcastle University with Honours in 1991, is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, and has further attained his Diploma of Paediatrics and Diploma Of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Dr Doug has a passion for mentoring the next generation of rural doctors and has keen interests in Paediatrics, Obstetrics, Allergies, Travel Medicine and Chronic Disease Management. He has served terms as the General Practice representative on the National Immunisation Committee and been the Tweed Valley Immunisation Project Manager from 2000-2008.
Dr Doug lives in the valley with his lovely wife and four beautiful children who attend local schools . His interests include surfing and soccer and he has captained the Australian Medical Soccer team at the World Medical Championships .
