All KSMC consultations are discreet and with your preferred Doctor of choice: Including Gynaecology exams Our medical staff are trained in all aspects of gynaecology from puberty to menopause and beyond. We can offer advice on contraception, both male and female. Where necessary we also offer and arrange appropriate referrals.


Diabetic Care

Diabetic care clinics available at KSMC. Diabetes is becoming increasingly common in our society. The best way to avoid very unpleasant consequences and complications of diabetes is to be vigilant with regular diabetic reviews. At KSMC we have special diabetic clinics for our patients, where you will have all aspects of your diabetic care.

Government Funded Chronic Management Options Available! At KSMC we actively support and engage in the government initiated Chronic Disease Management Scheme. This includes General Practice Management Plans, which allow access to allied health services funded under medicare, Home Health Assessments and Pharmacist Medication Reviews.

Comprehensive full Skin Checks Available The Doctors at KSMC have vast experience and expertise in treating the full range of skin cancers and other skin conditions. This allows us to offer comprehensive full skin check services. When being treated at KSMC You will be offered a range of treatment options.


Immunisation & Vaccination

Immunisation Clinics Run Regularly King Street Medical Centre provides immunisation for the prevention of childhood illness as well as booster immunisation to cover adults, ensuring ongoing protection. Further, we provide both flu and pneumonia vaccination including dedicated seasonal flu immunisation clinics.


Hospital & Nursing Home Care

KSMC doesn’t just admit patients to hospital. We care for them once they are there. The doctors at KSMC are accredited Visiting Medical Officers at the Murwillumbah District Hospital through the Northern NSW Local Health District. Although many general practices may visit patients in nursing homes most do not attend to general hospital patients.

Dr. Doug Warne


Dr Doug Warne has been working at King Street Medical Centre for 20 years and been Supervisor of training for 17 . He has recently taken on the role of Managing Partner. Doug graduated from Newcastle University with Honours in 1991, is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, and has further attained his Diploma of Paediatrics  and Diploma Of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has admitting rights at Murwillumbah Hospital.

Dr Yabsley was born,raised and educated in Northern NSW until attending the University of NSW in Sydney to study medicine. Her further training was carried out at St George Hospital, Kogarah, The Sydney Hospital and Tamworth Base Hospital. Her rural upbringing gave her the desire to return home to this area where she is now in practice at King Street Medical Centre.

King Street Medical Centre is a private clinic. All fee’s are to be paid at the time of consultation by either cash, Eftpos or Credit Card.
Currently we do bulk bill for the following;

  • Children up to 18 Years
  • Pensioners (Blue Card Holders)
  • DVA Gold Card Holders
  • DVA White Card Holders – for conditions recognised

Holders of a valid health care concession card are charged a reduced fee
